The James Harvey Greer Family

We would like to thank Virginia Bonesteel for this picture. This is a photo of my uncle, Acquilla "Jack" Greer in a Dexter baseball uniform. He is with his father, James Harvey Greer who was married to Ansey Laney Shands. I don't know the date but have assumed it was pre-WWI. It could also have been circa 1920 when Jack was back in Dexter following the war. We believe that he was born in Dexter in 1892. It appears that he took 6 years off of his age to qualify for the Army Air Corps in WWI (adopting the birth year of a younger brother who died in his teens) and for the rest of his life was officially born in 1898!
