I William Rush of the County of Stoddard and State of Missouri being of Sound Mind and Memory do make and publish this My last will and testiment in manor and form following. First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Rachel Rush all My Real Estate, all my Negros and all my goods chattels, moneys, effects and credits of every kind and description whatsoever to have and to hold during her natural life or widowhood and she shall remain on the farm where I now reside.

Second it is My Will that at the death marriage or removal of my beloved wife that my grand daughter Amanda Derington have and receive my Negro boy Robert and Negro girl named Emaline. Third: it is my Will that my grand Sun William Underwood have One Thousand dollars out of the Harison debt when collected and the Same to be put out at interest til he arive at lawfull age. Fourth: It is my will that at the death of my beloved wife Rachel Rush that the remainder of my property be equally divided among my children.

I hereby appoint Thomas Underwood and Alfred Rush Sole Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made-----

In Witness ware of I have hereunto Set my hand and afixed my seal this 12th day of February AD 1848.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named William Rush to be his last will and testiment in the presence of us who have hereunto Subscribed our names as witnesses in the presents of the testator

State of Missouri, County of Stoddard

We William D. Taylor and Harmon Reed so Solemnly Swear that William Rush now deceased did on the twenty first day of February eighteen hundred and forty eight publish the within and foregoing as his last will and testament that he was then of sound and disposing mind and memory and that we signed our names as witnesses to the same at the request and in the presence of the testator, and also in the presence of each other and that the Said testator then and there declared the Same to be his last Will and testament
