Probate Court Depositions on Will of William O. Knight



David Crytes of lawful age being duly Sworn according to law deposes and Says
Question -- Was you acquainted with William O. Knight
Answer -- I was
Quest -- State what you Know about having received Money for this Man and What you did with it.
Ans -- Yes.. I received Money for him-- I received in Kentucky Three hundred & Six dollars and fifty for him. I paid it Over to him his Mother when I returned home.
Quest -- How Much did you pay to William O. Knight
Ans -- William O. Knight and his Mother & Myself all set down at a table and I Counted the Money out to them. I think the Old Lady counted it also.
Quest -- Why did William not Count it.
Ans -- I dont think he could have counted it Correctly though I never heard him try.
Quest -- who received the Money
Ans -- I cant tell I dont recollect which of them took it off the table I did not take any receipt for it.
Quest -- who asked you to go after the Money.
Ans --William O. Knight and his Mother both asked me to go after it. I dont recollect which of them asked Me first.
Quest -- which talked to you first about it.
Ans -- I dont know -- William talked to me a great many times & So did the Old Lady about it.
