To all to whom those present shall come Greeting.
Hiram A. Shook of the county of Stoddard in the State of Missouri being in a verry infirm State of health, and at the same time being according to my own apprehension of Sound mind and memory real and personal Estate do make, ordain and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others.
It is my will that all my just debts and the charges of my funeral expenses be paid by my Executor hereafter named and appointed out of my estate as soon as conveniently may be after my death.
After all my just debts and funeral charges are paid I give to my beloved wife Sarah Shook all my personal property, money, and credits (My land and real Estate excepted) that she may have the means to support and educate our children.
I give my land or real Estate to my children whose names are as follows (to wit) America A. Shook, William M. Shook, Henry W. Shook, Mary J.C. Shook, Cornelia A. Shook, and Permina A. Shook and that I declare the same to be my legal heirs and devise that they share and share alike in their aforementioned real Estate or in the proceeds of said Land when sold. my beloved wife Sarah Shook the control and use of the farm on which I now live during her natural life.
N.B. The gift aforesaid of all my personal property, moneys and credits to my wife Sarah Shook is to be in lieu of dower in my estate.
I hereby appoint Josiah Dorns and David Simmons Executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereto Subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 3^rd day of May AD 1859

Be it remembered that on this nineteenth dy of November AD 1861 personally appeared before the undersigned Van W. Hale Clerk of the county court in and for the county and State aforesaid, Jesse B. Legget one of the Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will of Hiram A. Shook and being by me first duly sworn deposes and Says that the said Hiram A. Shook the testator Subscribed the same in his presence and published the Said Will or instrument of writing as his last will that the Said testament was at the time of publishing his said will of Sound mind and memory and more than twenty one years old; and that he the Said deponent attested to said will as witness there unto by Subscribing his name to the Same in the presence and at the request of the Said testator.
