Last will and testament of Allen Alsup
In the Name of god Amen. I Allen Alsup of the county of Stoddard and State of Missouri being of Sound Mind and having demonstrated to me daily the uncertainty of Life and the certainty of death do Make and Publish this My last will and Testament.
1st I will and bequeath that all My Just debts be Paid Including My funeral Expenses by My Executrix hereinafter appointed as Soon as Convenient after My death.
2nd I Give and bequeath to my oldest Daughter Martha R. Aslin the wife of John B. Aslin one Dollar to be Paid by My Executrix hereinafter appointed Twelve Months after My death.
3rd I Give and bequeath to My oldest Son William A. Alsup one Dollar to be Paid by My Executrix hereinafter appointed Twelve Months after My death.
4th I Give and Bequeath to My Son James A. Alsup

one Dollar to be Paid by My Executrix herein after appointed Twelve Months after My death.
5th I Give and bequeath to My wife Drusella C. Alsup all the Rest and Residue of My Property of every description Real Personal or Mixed the Real Estate described as follows to wit -- East half of the North west quarter Except 15 acres In East Part of North East quarter of North West quarter and South west quarter of the North West quarter and the East half of the South West quarter and the North west quarter of the North west quarter Except a Pice of land heretofore Sold for School house Site all In Section Twenty seven (27) In Township Twenty Six (26) North of Range Eleven (11) East Situated In Stoddard County Missouri during her Natural Life or So long as She Remains my widow and after her death or Marage I desire that My property of Every description Real Personal and Mixed be Equally divided between My Six youngest Children to wit: Peter Alsup, Christiana Alice Alsup, Thomas Warren Alsup, Martha Ellener Alsup, George Washington Alsup and Maranda Ethel Alsup.
6th I do hereby appoint Drusella C. Alsup My wife Sole Executrix hereby Revoking all former wills by me made In witness whereof I have hereunto Set My hand and Seal this 24th day of August A.D. 1883.

Signed and declared by the above named Allen Alsup to be his last will and testament In the Presents of us who at his Request and In his Presence have Subscribed our Names as witness thereto.

In Vacation in the Probate Court of Stoddard County I J.R. Williamson clerk of the Probate Court of Stoddard county having Examined the foregoing Instrument purporting to be the last will of and Signed by Allen Alsup and having heard the testimony of W. E. Almand and W.A. Harper Subscribing witnesses thereto in relation to the Execution of the Same do declare and adjudge Said Instrument to be the last will and testament of the Said Allen Alsup deceased

late of Stoddard County in testimony whereof I have Set My hand and affixed the Seal of the Probate court of Stoddard County at office in Bloomfield this the 17th day of September A.D. 1883.

Proof of Will

In the Probate Court
Be it Remembered that on this the 17th day of September A.D. 1883 before me J.R. Williamson Clerk of the Probate Court held in and for the County and State aforesaid personally appeared W. E. Almond and W.A. Harper both of the County of Stoddard In the State of Missouri who are the Subscribing witnesses to the annexed will of Allen Alsup, Deceased And being by me first duly Sworn Depose and Say that the Said Allen Alsup the testator Subscribed the Same in their presence and Published and declared Said will or instrument of writing to be his last will and Testament And that at the time of Signing the Same he the Said testator was of Sound and disposing Mind and more than twenty-one years of age and that Said deponent attested Said will as witness thereto by Subscribing their names to the Same in the Presence of the testator and of Each other and at the request of the Said testator.
