I Squire J. Harper of the county of Stoddard in the state of Missouri aged seventy two years; do make and publish this my last will and testament:
1st. I request that my funeral be conducted under the directions of my family and in a manner suitable to my position in life; and direct that my funeral charges and all of my just debts be paid out of my Estate by my executor hereinafter mentioned.
2". I give and bequeath to my children to wit: Lucy J. Euics, (late Harper) William A. Harper, John H. Harper, Manerva White (late Harper) Sarah A. Long (late Harper) Thomas M. Harper, Elizebeth C. Aslen (late Harper) and Louisa E. Corbin (late Harper) one Dollar Each to be paid out of My Estate by my Executor within twelve months after my death.
3rd . I give and bequeath to my wife Talitha Harper apart of the home, place or farm on which I now live described as follows to wit: The SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and the North 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and two acres Square in the North East corner of the North West quarter of the south East quarter All in Section twenty one (21) in Township twenty six (26) North of Range Eleven (11) East. Situate in Stoddard County Missouri and also all of the personal property that I may have at the time of my death after my Just debts are paid, to hold and Enjoy during her widowhood or natural Life and I request that My son Andrew J. Harper, manage and control, said farm and that he maintain support and care for her during her widowhood or natural life.
4th I give and bequeath to my son Andrew J. Harper the following described real Estate to wit: The SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and the N one-fourth of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and two acres Square, in the NE corner of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 all in section Twenty one (21) in Township twenty six (26) North of Range, eleven (11) East situate in Stoddard County Missouri; And also, all of the personal property that I may own at the time of my death and not disposed of by my Executor in paying my funeral Expences or debts or disposed of by my wife during her life time said property both real and personal to pass to my son Andrew J. Harper after the Death of his mother provided however that he complies with the above request in supporting undertaking care of his mother during her lifetime.
5th I hereby appoint my son Thos. M. Harper Executor of this my last will and testament revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereto Subscribed my name on this the 28th day of May A.D. 1885

The foregoing instrument was at the date thereof signed and declared by the said Squire J. Harper to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto and the same was read over and published to the said testator before he signed the same.

In the Probate court In Vacation.
Be it Remembered that on this the 18th day of October A.D. 1886 before one P.G. Wilson Judge of the probate Court held in and for the county and State aforesaid, personally appeared H.P. Daewaell andAndrew Jackson Bess, who are the subscribing witnesses to the of Squire J. Harper deceased and being by me first duly sworn depose and say That the said Squire J. Harper the Testator subscribed the same in their presence and published and declared said will or Instrument of writing to his last will and testament and that at the time of signing the same he the said testator was of sound and disposing mind and more than twenty one years of age and that said deponents attested said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of the said testator at and in the presence of Each other and at the request of the said testator.

In the Probate Court in vacation
I P.G. Wilson Judge of the Probate court of Stoddard County Missouri having carefully Examined the foregoing Instrument purporting to be the Last Will of Squire J. Harper deceased and having heard the testimony of H.P. Daewaell and Andrew Jackson Bess subscribing witnesses thereto in Relation to the Execution of the same do declare and adjudge said Instrument to be the Last Will and testament of the said Squire J. Harper deceased late of Stoddard County, Missouri.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court at office in Bloomfield this 9th day of March 1887.
