In the name of God, Amen.
I George Kunkel of the County of Stoddard in the State of Missouri being of Sound Mind but knowing the uncertainty of life, do make publish and declare the following as and for my last will and Testament. That is to Say;
I Will and desire; that My wife Caroline, take dower in My Real and personal property, as if I had died intestate, as also the payment of dower, debts, and Expenses of administration. I will and desire that My daughters Catherine Kunkel, Christina Kunkel residing as I believe in the City of Chicago State of Illinois Shall receive Each the Sum of five dollars in full discharge of their distributive Share in My Estate.
I also will that my step daughter Minte Hanecke receive the Sum of Five hundred dollars out of My Estate for Services rendered.
The remainder of my property, Real personal and Mixed after the payment of the above Legacies I will and bequeath to My children Adam Kunkel & George Kunkel and My Step Son William Hanecke Share and Share alike.
I hereby nominate constitute & appoint My Son Adam Kunkel to be the Executor of this My last will and testament.
In testimony of which I have hereunto Subscribed My name and Set my Seal, in the county of Stoddard in the State of Missouri the _______day of ____1860.

In the County Court of Stoddard county Missouri February Term AD 1866 February 12th AD 1866 1st day of the Term
Be it remembered that on this 12th day of February 1866 personally appeared before the County Court in and for the county and State aforesaid, Jacob Kappler and Jesse B. Mayberry the Subscribing witnesses to the annexed will of George Kunkil

and being by me first duly Sworn depose and say that the Said George Kunkel the Testator Subscribed the Same in there presence and published the Said will and testament or instrument of writing as his last will; that he the Said testator was at the time of publishing his Said will, of Sound Mind and More than twenty one years of age and that they the Said deponents attested the Said will as witnesses thereto by Subscribing their names to the Same in the presence of the Said Testator--

In Witness whereof I Adrian B. Owen Clerk of the county Court of the county of Stoddard and State of Missouri have hereunto Subscribed My name and affixed the Seal of Said court in open court in the county of aforesaid this 12th day of February AD 1866.
