To all to whom these presents Shall come Greetings.
I Josiah Dorris of the county of Stoddard in the State of Missouri being in a very infirm State of health and at the Same time being according to my own apprehension of Sound Mind and anxious to make a suitable disposition of real and personal estate, Do make, ordain and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others.
It is my will that all my just debts & the charges of my funeral be paid by my Executors here in after named and appointed out of my estate as soon as convenient after my decease. After all my just debts and funeral are paid I give to my beloved wife Margarett M. Dorris my personal property moneys and credits, & my Land during her widowhood that she may have the means of educating and Support our children except one cow & calf to My daughter Ellen with one Stead & bedding. One Sorrel Colt to my Son Thomas W.; one colt to my Son John R. After the widowhood or death of my beloved wife all my property & effects to be equally divided among my legal heirs (Viz) Lavina J. Houten, Francis L. Bizzel, Eve K. Houton, Matilida Ellen Dorris, James R. Dorris, Thomas A. Dorris, John R. Dorris & as I in the body of this will first my Son James R. Dorris So as to give him a colt as my other sons Thomas W. and John R. a colt. I hereby appoint Jesse B. Legget and Margaret M. Dorris My Executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 30^th day of December AD 1866.

Be it remembered that on this fifteenth day

of January Ad 1867 personally appeared before the undersigned Pickney Alabrey Judge of Probate in & for the county of Stoddard aforesaid, J.H. McDonald and Moses Proffer two of the Subscribing witnesses to the annexed will of Josiah Dorris and being by me first duly Sworn, the said J.H. McDonald deposes and says, that he signed the name of Josiah Dorris, the testator to the annexed will by his direction, at his request and in his presence, and say that the said Josiah Dorris, the Testator produced the said will or instrument of writing and in their presence declared the said instrument of writing to be his act; and published the same as his last will that he the said Testator, was at the time of publishing his said will, of sound mind and more than twenty one years of age and that the said deponents attested the said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of the said testator.
