LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
My last Will and Testament - - In the Name of God, Amen.
I, Sarah A. Field, now of the County of Stoddard and state of Missouri, aged 60 years, realizing
the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death and being of sound mind and disposing memory,
do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows: (1) I request that my funeral be
conducted under the direction of my beloved children and in a manner suitable to my means and
way of living, and I direct that my funeral charges, the expenses of administering on my estate
and all my just debts, be paid out of my personal estate; and if that be insufficient I expressly
authorize my executor, hereinafter named, to sell at public or private sale such part of my Real
Estate - not to exceed an undivided one-half interest therein - as may be sufficient for that
purpose.
(2) I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter - Georgia Robinson my former Home Place consisting of a Bungalow residence situate on certain city lots in Amenened, Kansas, which is to be sold, conveyed by her and the proceeds arising therefrom to be divided as follows: One half thereof, free of all incumbrance and expenses of any kind whatsoever, retained as her own for personal services rendered and a true daughters loving devotion to me shown throughout all of my declining days of life; and out of the rest and residue of the proceeds arising from said sale of real estate shall be paid, as aforesaid and above directed any and all remaining unpaid debts and expenses after the personal property is applied thereon and exhausted, and the remainder thereof is hereby given and bequeathed to my beloved sons - Harry B. Field, Floyd V. Field and T. Hollis Field who are to share equally and alike therein and likewise in all my personal property unused for the payment of my debts, and they are hereby respectfully requested to render any and all assistance convenient for them in the administration of my estate. And my said Children are each and everyone, requested to properly see to up-keep of their parental burial lot in the Iola Cemetery ---Iola Kansas.
I appoint my son-in-law, Frank Robinson, executor of this my last will, revoking any former wills by me made, and I authorize and empower my said executor in the settlement of my estate and of any debts due me, to compromise such debts, and if he thinks it advantageous to my estate to accept in satisfaction less than the full amount thereof. And my said executor is to so act without being required to give bond.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name, this 22nd /pg. 2/ day of July 1918.
Sarah A. Field
