LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT


In the Name of God Amen.
I, William H. Ackerman, of _______ in the County of Stoddard, State of Missouri, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament:

First, I order and direct that my Executrix hereinafter named, pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.

Second, after the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved son Wilson S. Ackerman, and to my beloved daughter, Ella E. Method, the sum of ten dollars each, and to my beloved wife Amelia E. Ackerman, I give devise and bequeath all the rest of my property whether real estate or personal property and all of whatever kind or nature whether real estate or personal and where ever the same may be found and whether the said property that is in the name of William H. Ackerman or in the name of Wm. H. Ackerman.

I make constitute and appoint my beloved wife Amelia E. Ackerman without bond whatever to be Executrix of this my last will and testament.

Lastly, I make, constitute and appoint _________ to be execut____ of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the 20th day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred Eighteen.

This instrument was on the day of the date thereof signed, published and declared by the said testator William H. Ackerman, to be his last will and testament, in the presence of us who at his request have subscribed our names thereto as witnesses in his presence and in the presence of each other.

On this 21st day of November, 1918 before the undersigned M. Walker Cooper, Judge of the Probate Court personally appeared Amelia E. Ackerman who being duly sworn, says that to the best information and belief of affiant William H. Ackerman died testate at Dudley, Missouri on the 22nd day of October, 1918, leaving as his heirs at law Amelia E. Ackerman, widow; Wilson S. Ackerman, son; Ella E. Method, daughter.

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this - 21st -day of-November -, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and-Eighteen, before me -M. Walker Cooper, Judge - of the-Probate -Court, held in and for - the County of Stoddard -and State of Missouri, personally appeared -J.C. Clement and J.A. Robinson - who being duly sworn upon - their -oath, depose- - and say- -that - they -w -ere - present and saw - William H. Ackerman - sign the foregoing instrument, of date -October 20th - 19 -18 - purporting to be - - the Last Will and Testament of h - im - the said -William H. Ackerman - and heard - him -publish and declare the same to be h - is - Last Will and Testament, and that at the time of signing the same, the said - William H. Ackerman -was of sound and disposing mind, and that th -ese - deponent -s - and - G.E. Clement - other attesting witness - - subscribed their names thereto as witnesses to the same in the presence of the testat -or - and of each other, and at the request of the said testat -or - who was more than 21 years of age at the date of so declaring and signing said instrument.

LETTERS TESTAMENTARY

To all to Whom these Presents shall come--GREETING:
Know Ye, That the last will and testament of -William H. Ackerman - deceased, late of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, hath, in due form of law been exhibited, proved and recorded, in the office of the - Judge - of the Probate Court of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, a copy of which is hereunto annexed; and Inasmuch as it appears that - Amelia E. Ackerman - ha -s - been appointed execut -rix - in and by said Last Will and Testament, to execute the same, and to the end that the property of the said Testator may be preserved for those who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein, and that the said Last Will and Testament may be executed according to the request and instruction of the said Testator, we do hereby authorize -her - the said -Amelia E. Ackerman - as such Execut- rix -, to collect and secure, all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said - William H. Ackerman - at the time of h - is - death, in whosoever hands or possession the same may be found; and to perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon -her - by said Last Will and Testament, so far as there shall be property and the law charge - her - ; and in general to do and perform all other acts which are now or may be hereafter required of -her - by law.
