LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
State of Texas
County of Kendall
Know all men by these presents that I James Peyton Jenkins of the County of Stoddard and State of Missouri but temporarily residing at Boerne in the State of Texas, being of sound mind and memory and fifty six years of age and mindful of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death and desiring to provide for the future welfare of those near and dear to me, declare this my last will and testament and revoking hereby all wills or codicils that I may have made.
I give and bequeath to my grandson James Peyton Jenkins, jr. Son of my deceased son Eugene Jenkins one hundred dollars in cash, the heirs of my deceased son Eugene being amply provided for this bequest I therefor deem sufficient.
After all expenses are paid it is my wish and will that the balance of the cash shall be equally divided between my wife Mary E. Jenkins and my daughter Myrtle Jenkins.
I give and bequeath to my sons W.N. Jenkins and Arthur Jenkins and my daughter Myrtle Jenkins my property in Bloomfield Missouri each to have an undivided share the same being a 30 foot lot of lot number twenty on Prairie Street in said City of Bloomfield.
It is my wish and will that all other property, including the property in Dexter City in which my wife Mary E. Jenkins holds a life estate shall eventually go to my children, W.N. Jenkins, Arthur Jenkins and Myrtle Jenkins.
In witness whereof I have this 23rd day of January A.D. 1907 signed this will at Boerne Texas in the presence of J.E. Johnston and Edmund Ebensburger, who attest the same at my request.
