LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT


I - the undersigned, Caroline Lyle Richeson - of the-city of-Dexter -in the County of-Stoddard -and State of-Missouri do hereby revoke and annul any and all Last Wills and Testaments as testamentary dispositions which I may have heretofore made and herewith do sign, publish and declare the following to be my last Will and Testament, to wit: -

(a) I will and direct that all my just debts and all of my testamentary and funeral expenses be first paid.

(b) I give and bequeath the sum of One hundred dollars to Henry Douglas Richeson, my beloved son, and no more.

(c) The rest and residue of my estate real, personal or mixed, legal or equitable that I may die seized and possessed of or which in comming owing or belonging to me at the time of my death or wheresoever it may be situated. I give, devise and bequeath unto my son, William Lyle Richeson, and my daughter, Mary Richeson Brace in equal proportions, and share alike, to have and to hold the same unto my said son, William Lyle Richeson and Mary Richeson Brace, their heirs and assigns forever.

(d) I appoint and nominate, Mary Richeson Brace, executrix of this my last will and testament, and herewith direct that she shall not be required to give bond or security as such executrix.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at Dexter, Stoddard County of Missouri, this the 27th day of January in the year of our Lord 1912.

The above and foregoing was by Caroline Lyle Richeson signed, executed and declared to be her last will and testament, in the presence of us, the subscribing witnesses, who in her presence and in the presence of each other and at her request have hereunto signed our names as such subscribing witnesses, at Dexter, in the County of Stoddard and state of Missouri, this the 27th day of January, 1912.

Walker Cooper, Judge of the Probate Court personally appeared Mary Richeson Brace, who being duly sworn, says that to the best information and belief of affiant Caroline Lyle Richeson dec'd testator at_______on the____day of ______1915 leaving as her heirs at law Henry Douglas Richeson, William Lyle Richeson and Mary Richeson Brace same being two sons and one daughter.

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this - 8 -day of- July -, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and- fifteen , before me - M. Walker Cooper, Judge - of the-Probate -Court, held in and for - the County of Stoddard -and State of Missouri, personally appeared -Edith Thrower Quick and Charles Liles - who being duly sworn upon - their -oath, depose- - and say- -that - they -w -ere - present and saw -Caroline Lyle Richeson - sign the foregoing instrument, of date -January 27th - 19 - 12 - purporting to be - - the Last Will and Testament of h -er - the said - Caroline Lyle Richeson - and heard -er -publish and declare the same to be h -er - Last Will and Testament, and that at the time of signing the same, the said - Caroline Lyle Richeson -was of sound and disposing mind, and that th -ese - deponent -s attesting witness -es - subscribed their names thereto as witnesses to the same in the presence of the testat -rix - and of each other, and at the request of the said testat -rix - who was more than 21 years of age at the date of so declaring and signing said instrument.

Walker Cooper, Judge - of the-Probate-Court-of Stoddard -County, Missouri, having examined the foregoing instrument purporting to be - - the Last Will and Testament of - Caroline Lyle Richeson - deceased, and signed by said -Caroline Lyle Richeson - deceased, late of-Stoddard -County,- Missouri -and having heard the testimony of -Edith Thrower Quick - and -Charles Liles - subscribing witnesses thereto, in relation to the execution of the same, do declare and adjudge said Instrument -is - the Last Will and Testament of said -Caroline Lyle Richeson - deceased, and the same is therefore -admitted to Probate

LETTERS TESTAMENTARY

To all to Whom these Presents shall come--GREETING:
Know Ye, That the last will and testament of - Caroline Lyle Richeson - deceased, late of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, hath, in due form of law been exhibited, proved and recorded, in the office of the -Judge - of the Probate Court of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, a copy of which is hereunto annexed; and Inasmuch as it appears that -Mary Richeson Brace - ha -s - been appointed execut -rix - in and by said Last Will and Testament, to execute the same, and to the end that the property of the said Testator may be preserved for those who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein, and that the said Last Will and Testament may be executed according to the request and instruction of the said Testator, we do hereby authorize -her - the said -Mary Richeson Brace - as such Execut-rix -, to collect and secure, all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said -Caroline Lyle Richeson - at the time of h -er - death, in whosoever hands or possession the same may be found; and to perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon -her - by said Last Will and Testament, so far as there shall be property and the law charge -her - ; and in general to do and perform all other acts which are now or may be hereafter required of -her - by law.
