LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT


I, Jasper N. Triplett of Stoddard County, in the State of Missouri, being of sound and disposing mind and memory realizing the certainty of death do make and publish this my last will and testament.

First - I will that all my just debts be paid, including my funeral expenses, out of my personal estate, by my executor hereinafter named.

Second - I will and bequeath to my son Charles Newton Triplett, the following described real estate, the South half of the North West quarter, fractional, of Section 31 township 26 range 11 East - 48 acres more or less.

Third - I will and bequeath to my son Eddie A. Triplett, the following described real estate, the South half of the South West quarter of the North east quarter of Section 31 township 26 range 11 East - 20 acres more or less

Fourth - I will and bequeath to my son George Triplett One Hundred Dollars, lawful money of the United States, to be paid to him by my executor herein after named, within reasonable time after my death, out of my personal estate - said amount to be in full satisfaction of his entire interest in my said estate.

Sixth - I will and bequeath to Nora Culbertson, Maud Culbertson, Dona Culbertson, Robert Culbertson and Arthur Culbertson children of my deceased daughter, Jennie Culbertson, late Jennie Triplett, Ten Dollars each to be paid by my executor hereinafter named, out of my personal estate within reasonable time after my death, in full satisfaction of their entire interest in my estate.

Seventh - I will and bequeath all the residue of my estate, real, personal, or mixed property to my beloved wife Sarah A. Triplett should she survive me.

Eighth - I will and bequeath that Charles N. Triplett, my son be executor of this my last will and testament.

On this 4th day of January, 1916, before the undersigned, M. Walker Cooper, Judge of Probate personally appeared Charles N. Triplett, who being duly sworn, says that to the best information and belief of affiant Jasper N. Triplett died testate at this late residence on the 1st day of January 1916 leaving as his heirs at law Charles N. Triplett, Eddie A. Triplett, George Triplett, Joseph B. Triplett, and Moses Culbertson or George, Gladys Lewis, heir of Dona George or Culbertson, Robert George or Culbertson and Arthur Clubertson.

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this -4th -day of-January -, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and- Sixteen, before me -M. Walker Cooper, Judge - of the-Probate -Court, held in and for - the County of Stoddard -and State of Missouri, personally appeared - A.L. Harty and J.B. Buck - who being duly sworn upon -their -oath, depose- - and say- -that -they -w -ere - present and saw -Jasper N. Triplett - sign the foregoing instrument, of date -July 30th - 19 -07 - purporting to be - - the Last Will and Testament of h -im - the said -Jasper N. Triplett - and heard -him -publish and declare the same to be h -is - Last Will and Testament, and that at the time of signing the same, the said -Jasper N. Triplett -was of sound and disposing mind, and that th -ese - deponent -s attesting witness - es - subscribed their names thereto as witnesses to the same in the presence of the testat -or - and of each other, and at the request of the said testat - - who was more than 21 years of age at the date of so declaring and signing said instrument.

I, - M. Walker Cooper, Judge - of the-Probate-Court- of Stoddard -County, Missouri, having examined the foregoing instrument purporting to be - - the Last Will and Testament of - Jasper N. Triplett - deceased, and signed by said -Jasper N. Triplett - deceased, late of-Stoddard -County,- -and having heard the testimony of -A.L. Harty - and - J.B. Buck - subscribing witnesses thereto, in relation to the execution of the same, do declare and adjudge said Instrument -is - the Last Will and Testament of said -Jasper N. Triplett - deceased, and the same is therefore -admitted to Probate.

LETTERS TESTAMENTARY

To all to Whom these Presents shall come--GREETING:
Know Ye, That the last will and testament of -Jasper N. Triplett - deceased, late of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, hath, in due form of law been exhibited, proved and recorded, in the office of the -Judge - of the Probate Court of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, a copy of which is hereunto annexed; and Inasmuch as it appears that -Charles N. Triplett - ha -s - been appointed execut -or - in and by said Last Will and Testament, to execute the same, and to the end that the property of the said Testator may be preserved for those who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein, and that the said Last Will and Testament may be executed according to the request and instruction of the said Testator, we do hereby authorize -him - the said -Charles N. Triplett - as such Execut-or -, to collect and secure, all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said - Jasper N. Triplett - at the time of h -is - death, in whosoever hands or possession the same may be found; and to perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon -him - by said Last Will and Testament, so far as there shall be property and the law charge -him - ; and in general to do and perform all other acts which are now or may be hereafter required of -him - by law.
