To all whom it may concern. Know ye that I Martin Asher of the Township of Duck Creek in the County of Stoddard in the State of Missouri being of Sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills at anytime heretofore by me made.
First. I desire that my funeral expenses and all just debts of mine be paid as soon as practiable after my death.
Second. I give and bequeath Mary Jane Asher the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid to her out of my estate when becoming eighteen years of age with interest therein at the rate of ten percent after my death until paid.
Third. I give and bequeath to Lawson Albert Asher the Sum of three hundred dollars to be paid to him after age of twenty one years together with interest therein at the rate of ten percent after my death until paid.
Fourth. I give and bequeath to Elisabeth Asher the wife of my son Arthur P. Asher and to the heirs of her body all my real and personal estate after all my Just debts liabilities and the legacies herein provided for are paid off and satisfied that shall then be ... and not intended herein to interfere with my wifes personal dower.
Sixth. I do hereby name constitute and appoint Joel Hobb and Lawson A. Taylor as Executors of this my last will and testament to carry out and execute the same as herein provided.
In witness whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my name the 22nd day of April AD 1875.

In the Matter of proving the last will and testament of Martin Asher, deceased late of Stoddard County.
On this 27th day of June AD 1875 before me Clerk of the County Court within and for said County, personally came David Duffy and Isom Keith who being by me duly sworn by their oaths say that they were present and Saw said Martin Asher sign the foregoing instrument purporting to be his last will and testament and heard him publish and declare the same to be his last will and testament and that the said Martin Asher was of sound and disposing mind and that these deponents subscribed their names thereto as witnesses to the same in the presence and at the request of said testator and in the presence of each other.

To any Judge, Justice of the Peace or and Mayor or Chief Magistrate of any city in the State of Missouri, Greetings.
Know ye that reposing confidence at your ability do hereby empower you to cause to come before you at a time and place to be by you appointed, Stephen M. Chapman an attesting witnesses to the annexed instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Martin Asher deceased and then and there examined him, the said Stephen M. Chapman in oath touching his knowledge of the execution of Said instrument, and of the mind of the said Stephen M. Chapman at the time of the execution and publication and the Said instrument as his last will and testament. The examination......

Pursuant to the authority given my the annexed commission issued by the Clerk of the County Court of the County of Stoddard and State of Missouri I Isaac M. Davidson Notory Public within and for said count of Butler did on this 2nd day of July 1875 cause to come before me at Poplar Bluff in said county Stephen M. Chapman of Poplar Bluff aforesaid who being duly Sworn on his oath States that he Subscribed and signed the name of the said Martin Asher the testator to the writing annexed to this & the commission thereto attached of his last will and testament and that the said Martin Asher signed the same as such in the presence of witnesses that he subscribed the name of the said Martin Asher to said instrument in his presence and by the direction of said testator that the said Martin Asher was of Sound mind at the time of executing the same and that he the said Stephen M. Chapman subscribed his name thereto as an attesting witness in the presence of Martin Asher.

Chapman, David Duffy and Isom Keith subscribing witnesses thereto, in relation to the execution of the same declare and adjudge said instrument to be the last will and testament of the said Martin Asher deceased late of Stoddard County
